In line with its continuous efforts to uplift the young sporting talent of Bahrain, VIVA Jusoor, VIVA’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm, has invested in a state-of-the-art outdoor football pitch for the female football team of Shaikha Hessa Girls’ School.

The football pitch underway is in par with professional pitches and will provide the school with the foundations required to form and train a successful girls school football team. The new pitch will also open doors for Shaikha Hessa Girls’ School to participate in inter-school competitions and national girls football tournaments such as Bahrain Private Sports League.

VIVA Bahrain Chief Government Affairs Officer, Shaikh Zeyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa commented, “Sports is one of the key areas in which VIVA Jusoor’s places its commitment as we continuously seek new and innovative ideas to encourage the community to take up active lifestyles. We take great interest in cultivating talent and are delighted to extend our support to an initiative which will carry on to benefit many generations in the future.”

The renovation is being taken up as a part of VIVA Jusoor’s pro-active approach to promote sports across the Kingdom and pursuit to ensure that youth have access to the best possible sports facilities and talent development opportunities across all tiers of sport. Among its many sport-inspired initiatives is VIVA’s Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) programme which has benefited over 140 youngsters who experienced a full unique Manchester United experience at world-class training camps in the UK.
